First Log

Today is Divine Mercy Sunday, 2020. I’ve been looking through my previous blog posts and ended up missing writing in it. I also needed to start creating my own content, and portfolio page. So basically that’s why everything here is setup.

Started by deciding which things to do first, so here’s my to do list for this website, and other succeeding projects that may shortly follow:

  1. Identify which tech stack to use for developing this site. I initially wanted to use Laravel as a starting point, but I was too lazy to build it up from scratch. Tried to consider if just want to write, then the effort should be easier. Why re-invent the wheel, hence here I am with a basic WordPress site.
  2. Setup my personal servers and domain. First time to do it in Namecheap.com. Got my domain at a pretty good price. I’m still thinking about which server to use as host. Thinking about Digital Ocean, or Linode – both estimated around 5$/month.
  3. Create a Portfolio subdomain soon, again think of a tech stack, and what should be in there. I ideally want to create more content media, so I wanna make more website themes to highlight designs and also different tech capabilities. I’m thinking about the following applications to do next:
    • Brian App (Personal)
    • Catholic Web + Mobile App
    • Meet360
  4. Get personal clients, and start working on sideline after all the previous steps are done.

Let’s see which of these I can actually accomplish. I rarely finish any list anyways.
